Since late 2013, Richmond Council has been working to draw up Village Plans for two pilot areas in the borough; Kew and Whitton and Heathfield. These will provide residents and businesses with a straightforward and unbureacratic way of developing planning policy in their area. In planning terms, this type of document is called a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD), and it can be taken into account in making planning decisions.
In order to have these plans accurately reflect the desires and thoughts of local residents, we will be consulting our proposed SPDs throughout May 2014. We will be asking you what you think of the plans and if there is anything more you would like to include or remove.
To help you understand this process, we will be holding a Question Time-style event where you will have the opportunity to ask Lord True and members of his Cabinet any question you have on the Village Planning process or wider issues on the Whitton and Heathfield area in general.
Thursday 13 March 2014, 7pm – 9pm
Twickenham Academy, Percy Rd, Whitton, TW2 6JW
The first hour will consist of pre-submitted questions, the second hour will be opened to the floor. Pre-submitted questions will be chosen on a first-come, first-serve basis.
To submit a question to the Whitton and Heathfield Question Time or for more information, please email:firstname.lastname@example.org.
